How did the book signing go?

So i will admit, the book signing at Barnes and Noble was a little different than I thought. Maybe it had something to do with how some people got the address wrong. Or maybe it was because so many people had other things to focus on.

Whatever the reason is, the book signing went great! Although there's a very interesting story to go with this amazing moment:

A guy came in that day and bought a book, after he purchased it he returned to get it signed with some great news! Not only did he buy that one book, but he also bought a total of 10! One for himself and the other 9 were to be given to the next visitors!

Here is the funny part. When he came and told me this. I thought he bought 10 more extra books from the store. That I could have and give to other people... So, what ended up happening is the customers after him were still purchasing books that I didn't know were already purchased!

Now that I realized this mistake, I had to make this right, I called the store and asked for 10 books to be free of charge since the once I sold were already purchased.... hmmm. Tha is correct, right? I mean to have about 16 books (just setting the example) and having 10 of those books bought, then reselling them. But getting 10 books to give away does balance the cost... Right?

Well anyway, now i have to prepare for ANOTHER book signing. This November 12th. If you didn't come to the first one, I suggest you make time for the second!

4th Grade Contest- Shiver and Fears Madlib

4th grade kids have started entering in Shiver and Fears new contest: It's called The Shiver and Fears Madlib contest. Kids will choose between 4 different MADLIBS I've created and have them read on youtube.

The most popular one now is "The Mystery Shadow". Here's the original story:

He didn't know a shadow was behind him. Until he walked down the dark alley outside the school. He started to run as the sound of moaning made his heart pound. He turned around, all he saw was a tall shadow. He ran faster, but could not escape the shadow. He tripped on a rock and landed on his shoulder. The shadow laughed as his hand gripped him by his shirt. He wanted to scream, but his scream was silent!

Now when the 4th graders start including their own words, some pronouns might have to change. I'm aware of that. And it might not be that scary in the end, or make a lot of sense. That fine. They aren't really for scarying, just for laughs and giggles.

If you want he hear these stories being read, go to Shiver and Fears youtube page > here< to be exact! Right now we're starting off with our first two entries with their choice "Ghost Eyes". See if you can figure out which words were replaced in this story. Does it make you shiver or just laugh? If you don't comment on the blog, comment on the videos!
