New Shiver and Fears

So those who are wondering, yes, there is another Shiver and Fears book coming out. It's making small progress. It's been worked on for a few months and I'm having a little trouble. No spoiler, just know there's a thief on the loose and two strange new neighbors. Now you might be thinking 'Oh of course, the new neighbors ARE the thieves. No, not at all.
So what's the hold up? The answer is a little writer's block. This next book will host the original 20 chapters and the complex is around the revealing of the plot... So what's the issue? The problem is, how to plot the rising action before revealing anything in the complex. Not to mention, relating details in the rising action to the complex.
For those of you who might not understand author vocab, let me explain my problem another way. You see, I want parts of the story to relate to the problem of the story. And it has to make sense. Like in The Ghost Next Door: How Hannah had that dream about a fire, and why her family was nowhere in sight... SPOILER ALERT She's a ghost! Killed by the fire (she wasn't dreaming).
A Puppet Family is about a boy making friends. That's all you get from that! Someday it'll be published. Just need to figure out chapter 6.

Help! I need a little help

I'm glad your here. I have been looking all over the internet to find a marketing idea to  grab the attention of more readers. Here's what I found: Making my books into a tv show would cost $88, getting a billboard would cost around $150, gosh hiring an illustrator cost $50. And there is so much more. What we need is a fund raiser, the only thing is, some people want to help, but they don't want to just hand away money. Well, for me it's not just the donating funds that help. It's also your attention that helps too. Right now you're probably reading this half way and thinking "he wants me to give my money to him?" or "This doesn't interest me anymore" But for those who are reading this just know your donation isn't the only way to help.
The easiest idea is to take posts, sites, and websites and share them with a friend, kid, family, or business partner who can say "I think i can help that author." Another suggestion is look into buying a book, or even something simple like a pen, a shirt, shoes. (Those of you who know about our store on Zazzle). Then the last suggestion is to donate to our funds. Help is here
What my books need is your attention. Whether it's reading one (just to see if you like it), shopping at the Shiver and Fears store (fyi they do have discounts), Donating a few dollars, or sharing with a friend who might be interested in helping. It's not just donating to an author that help, it's your attention, your suggestions, your partnership that help. This fund raiser can get a lot of marketing with Magical Times and Shiver and Fears, but your attention can do a lot more.

Making Black History

In honor of Black History Month, let's go through a little history: Phillis Wheatley was the first African American author for a book of poems, Althea Gibson was the first African American tennis player, and I won't get into the first black teacher. Meanwhile, I have a first as well. What a title it is too! I'm the first young African American to entitle 3 jobs as a teacher, author and tennis coach.
 To think, this all happened at the age of 16. Yep, at the age of 16, I was starting my life as an author writing The Bus Driver of Doom and The Unlucky Charm. At 18 these books were published and sold on about 3 websites, including Createspace, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble. In 2014 Shiver and Fears was added to 7 more websites (including social media)
 Back in 2011, I was included in a tennis lesson for young players, by 2013 the tennis coaches joined together and formed a tennis camp. By the age of 20 this tennis player was joining in tennis lessons to coach to new team The Cheetahs, by 2018 I was coaching 2 tennis teams.
And lastly, my teaching career started in 2012 over the summer as a Teacher in Training. By the year 2016, I was teaching my own class of 3rd graders. 
 By 2019 I've published 31 books, coaching 2 champion teams at my own church, and been teaching at the same school for almost 7 years now. How many historians African Americans have those 3 titles? It just shows some of us have a historical claim, even if it's not always accurate.

Caught on Camera

Taking a break on book blogging, because I have a question. Have you ever just minded your own business doing something and later looked in a newspaper or watched the news or even watched a video and said "Wait, I was there!" or "Hold on, when was that?" or what about "I recognize that place.." Well, earlier this week (Sunday to be exact) I was coaching with my buddy Shawn with 7 young players outside my church on our new courts and thought, 'What a great day.' Then today that young, little girl, with the blue racket, traveling around the cone, her mother (a friend of mine) showed me a newspaper with that tennis day on it.

I was in confusion, like when was this taken? Where am I in all this? Wasn't I there? All was answered when the church pastor (the man in the black jacket) posted this video on facebook. Well, my mouth dropped as I told myself, "I was there!" and asked, "Where am I in this?" "When was the newscast even there?"

Well, it was good to know that at 00:32 my friend Shawn and I had our spotlight moment with those 7 tennis champs. (I'm the one in white jacket and hat) I still wonder where those camera people were because I would have noticed them if they were there. (must have been in Coach Mode). who knew?

Shiver and Fears: Animated

 So far I've created paperback, audio, hardback, videos, songs, and kindle. One thing I haven't done is animated, well that's all going to change. I am working on making an animation video of a Shiver and Fears story!😲 Well maybe not the whole story, gosh that would take time and practice. Meanwhile, as I learn how to work in the animation system, I plan on working on little Shiver and Fears clips, like the one above. There's a lot of things an animator has to work on to get this straight, and I'm willing to work on this till I do. Now in the meantime what do you think of Shiver and Fears Don't Mock a Witch clip? I even have it as a GIF HERE.

New Book, New News

So what's going on with Shiver and Fears lately? Well it's been on a pause since the so called "Number one fan" had a complaint that could have ruined my whole career! But with a few helpful encouraging words from other fans, I decided to do some things. Well one thing that I did while on a break was start a new book series "Magical Times" that is already on it's 3rd book. Right now this book is found on Lulu.com, but hopefully it can go other places as well.
Right now I'm on vacation in Grand Turk, it's been really hard keeping in touch with my readers, but I think I've gained a few more as I cruised around the sea on Carnival Sunshine. I'll be home giving the 411 soon, but as for now let me tell you about my plan in 2019. If you're reading this, you'll be the only one's to know about this secret plan. Here I go, Shiver and Fear is going audio! I know, I know it's already audio, but think about the millions of people who don't have an audible account, or can't have an audible account, or don't WANT an audible account! In 2019 Shiver and Fears will go audible on disk.
Do people still listen to CD's... Maybe not, but in this case they can download an audio book without remembering a password. This audio book will be on Amazon and ITunes... I think, I'm not sure how this new system is going. My old book publisher decided to change things, which aren't good on my side, so I decided to try another publishing system, Lulu.com, let's see where that takes me, from the looks of it not very far. I might just stay with Createspace.
Meanwhile, on this cruise I met a couple of kids, they are going to be in my next book: Cursed Cruise Trip. I was going to work with a book on a puppet family, but this one seems more exciting. These boys I met, I decided to place them in the story as the main characters, hopefully they'll email me so I can work with them on this story.

Tons of Work

Have you been keeping up with Shiver and Fears? Well Shiver and Fears has been on a break for the past week weeks. It's been mostly about Magical Times and the new Christmas album.

yes, so this author has his own Christmas CD. You want one? Buy it here. Meanwhile a few other things that's been happening as well. Shiver and Fears has donated audio books, which isn't easy, since it cost to give away your own work.

What else is going on? Well, it's not all about Shiver and Fears, Magical Times has been working hard. In fact, as we speak, copies of Magical Times are sold on Lulu. What is Magical Times? The new series, but don't worry Shiver and Fears isn't over.

  It's a new series about the author himself living a fantasy life with 3 kids in a mansion with his family. There's a surprise twist in the story that I don't want to spoil for you. Get your copy soon so you can find out the secret. Let me see, am I forgetting anything? Shiver and Fears donation, new CD, new book series, I guess that's it. Unless I include the new idea of audio books on disc. It's just an idea, but I thought about selling audio books on CD's. What do you think?
