We got a sale going on!

 Shiver and Fears has sold over 100 items to people. Not just books. We have sold pencils, pens, pillows, pins... No we don't just sell things that start with 'P'. we also sell shirts and stuff like that, but the most important thing of all is we have cups!

If you haven't heard, these cups are special. Not only do they change color, (Which is something everyone is excited about) but these cups also include a qr code leading those who scan it a free book!

I told you some time ago, Shiver and Fears is getting into the spirit of scanning for your attention.

This is the code we send to our shoppers. With this purchasers can pay for their item they want from where ever they are. Do we deliver? You bet we do! Will it cost... Yes, but only a limit. But we haven't gotten there yet!

Best of Books starring Shiver and Fears

   For the first time ever Shiver and Fears is having a book signing at a book store. Edmond's Best of Books will have Shiver and Fears for 11 to 12:30. The author AJ Hard (that's me) will be selling the book The Chill House for $8. However, in order to get a free book signed  you can bring your own Shiver and Fears product here or maybe you just want a book signed, get one here.
   But whether you get a hat autographed, The Chill House, or any other Shiver and Fears book/ product just know your support is what matters. You might be wondering why did I choose Best of Books all the way in Edmond. The answer is I didn't, they chose me. I was offering a collection of Shiver and Fears books to the store and they asked if I would be interested in having a book signing there.
   Sorry to say through, it'll be the  first and maybe the last. Do understand in order to place a book signing it takes at least $100 to  order a collection of books to give/sell to others. Now I'm not completely sure but I think a book store provides those copies. Well, not in my case. I have to provide copies and really that's not easy for me. Raising money is not my strong point, it never was, not even in elementary school when we were selling candy bars.
Now if you're reading this and want to help. I know for sure there are a few people you know who would jump up to the fact an author is making an appearance in Edmond. And it's not just me who'd be getting help, Best of Books would be getting attention as well. I mean celebrities at a book store? How cool would that be. Not to mention I can only connect with my friends, but you can connect with others in the world and if each person who help promote this event to their friends and family then Best of Books will get a lot of attention. And you can say, "I helped with that!"

Buisness is Multiplying

     So I chatted with the libraries for 3 years and finally got my dream to come true! Well first let me explain my dream.
     Well my main dream was to become famous, when Shiver and Fears first started that dream was made to come true. But even with books selling online it wasn't enough to really call famous.
     As you know Shiver and Fears went from books, to kindles, to products, to audio books, but I knew making something isn't what makes you famous, it's how many people look at what you made and how it attracts them.
      Well being online doesn't get that much attention, but you know what does? Book stores, libraries, and schools. Well I'm happy to announce Shiver and Fears has made it into schools, entered in book stores, and now after four years are now heading into libraries! Don't believe me, ask a metropolitan library for Shiver and Fears books. You'll be surprised.
     Now it's time to spread the word. While I go to everyone I know and love you do the same. Go to the school librarian and ask for Shiver and Fears books, meanwhile I'll be asking if any more schools would like a donation from Shiver and Fears

I mean $40 is a good start, but $2000 is our goal. the minimum is $850, but we can't get anywhere if you're sitting there saying "I'm sure someone is donating," or "I can't donate much, so I just won't do it" Even a $1 is help. I mean when you give a tip you don't always give $5 or church service don't always get a $20 from you, and what about Christmas donations?

Yep, even the littlest of help is still helping, so don't deny helping. Half  Price Books wants Shiver and Fears to bring 100 books to the book signing so people like you can go, "Hey, what's this? Shiver and Fears?! COOL!" get a book signed and go "I met the author!" to their friends, kids, and grandkids. Shiver and Fears book can go a long way with YOUR help. So leave a donation, no just for the free audio book, not to get me off your back, but to give the kids a book they'll never forget!

 And hey, if you share it with your friends they might donate too.

Fundraising

So I was setting up a book signing this March when the man in charge of Half Price Books tells me I need to bring 100 book copies. Now you would think getting copies of my own book wouldn't be so hard, but yet it is.
Now understand I can get free audio books, which is what I planned to give away during the book signing, but apparently the author (a.k.a me) has to pay the same amount of money to buy a copy. Now I'm not sure how good you are at math but a Shiver and Fears book cost about $20, so... That's right $2000!
So here's the deal, do you want to help? Click >here< a help fund Shiver and Fear. If you can't fund share the news with ANYONE you know. Family, friends, enemies, teachers, neighbors anyone and everyone.Shiver and Fears needs all the help it can get.
No need to sit there and say "There's nothing I can do, so I can't get involved" or "I don't know much about Shiver and Fears to do anything," because believe me someone can always do something!

Working on it

  So here's the update for Shiver and Fears: Facebook fans had risen to 104 likes as we celebrate the October birthdays. Some have asked us what's so special about the birthday song to only play it in October? The answer is that they're in October, the month of Halloween, the perfect holiday to theme Shiver and Fears books.
   Instead of a Happy Birthday, they should have a horror birthday (Not to confuse it with Horrible birthday. We're not monsters, just scary artists) Meanwhile as we wrap up the October month we work on another project.
  We are selling shirt, just to see how it goes. No special reason, just want to get something of ours to sell. It'll only be for the fall season, and it's not world wide. Just for friends and family.
  Now if you are interested in Shiver and Fears stuff you know we have a store > at zazzle. But if your interested in free stuff we do have that give-a-way, It'll last until December, that will be the time when we start ordering the gifts and sending them to the fans.
