Hidden From Social Media

So, I'm sure you've heard about that Powerpuff Girl live-action movie being canned a few years ago. But can you believe no one wants you to know about this disaster? Not only are they trying to mop up their mistake and ignore it, they won't let people see it.
Where do I get this idea from? Easy, because the day that it got leaked, I watched the trailer and the second I wanted to share the news... IT WAS GONE!
People were talking about it, but no one could show the trailer. Not even segments of it. Everywhere I tried posting it, it was cast as copyright and was not allowed to be shared!
Crazy! Well, what I have here is the trailer of that failed project...
Question lies to thousands of people why this idea was scraped. The answer? Because the audience were not pleased of the idea of making 3 kind children into destructive adults. Catch this: Bubbles, our sweet, innocent heart throb, is supposed to be a wannabe diva who apparently drinks and lives a wild life.

Blossom our fearless, smart leader can't get her life together. Now we don't know much about what's going on in her mind, but apparently she has been slacking in her duties and has ran away because of it.

Buttercup the tomboy, the girl with a tude, is a rebel? She's against all things that girls stand for, not only as being simple and sweet and 'soft', but also as a general girl. Almost as if Buttercup doesn't like the idea of being a girl.

Now I'm sure there are some other things that you have to say about this movie idea, but one thing I was not pleased with was how this whole idea was focused on... us!

You see, I like my cartoons the way they always were, zaney, funny, and childish. What this movie is doing is having our childhood grow up with us! I don't know about you, but I don't want my childhood to grow up, if you know what I mean.

How would you like it if  Scooby Doo were a police crew instead and solved murders instead? What would it be like if Rugrats were smoking and drinking while suffering from divorce and family matters? Would you want to watch Jimmy Neutron working giving up inventing stuff because they don't pay the bills?

Point is, even if these characters do grow up, they shouldn't be living a "real" life. With "real" problems and "real" difficulties.

If I were in charge of the movie plot. The Powerpuff Girls would move out of Townsville and join an agency. Then have their next mission be in Townville where they learn that after the mysterious disappearance of Mojo Jojo he has returned with a plot to cause a downfall on the girls' agency. The girls blame each other for their fail attempt and leave Blossom to finish the mission.

That's all I got so far, but if you have an idea, comment below!

4th Grade Contest- Shiver and Fears Madlib

4th grade kids have started entering in Shiver and Fears new contest: It's called The Shiver and Fears Madlib contest. Kids will choose between 4 different MADLIBS I've created and have them read on youtube.

The most popular one now is "The Mystery Shadow". Here's the original story:

He didn't know a shadow was behind him. Until he walked down the dark alley outside the school. He started to run as the sound of moaning made his heart pound. He turned around, all he saw was a tall shadow. He ran faster, but could not escape the shadow. He tripped on a rock and landed on his shoulder. The shadow laughed as his hand gripped him by his shirt. He wanted to scream, but his scream was silent!

Now when the 4th graders start including their own words, some pronouns might have to change. I'm aware of that. And it might not be that scary in the end, or make a lot of sense. That fine. They aren't really for scarying, just for laughs and giggles.

If you want he hear these stories being read, go to Shiver and Fears youtube page > here< to be exact! Right now we're starting off with our first two entries with their choice "Ghost Eyes". See if you can figure out which words were replaced in this story. Does it make you shiver or just laugh? If you don't comment on the blog, comment on the videos!

Author live in person

School is finally out for this teacher, and what a month of work. Just earlier Shiver and Fearshad been presented in front of young readers of the grade of 3rd. After reading An Old Bite, A Puppet Family and a summary of The Ghost of Future Me, students were wowed with dozens of questions. Even the teachers were amazed with the story behind Shiver and Fears.
Throughout the week, I was no longer known to those kids as a teacher they've seen in the hall. I was now Mr. AJ Hard, the teacher who published books. Although, it's ashame. Today 4 of our student will be making their way to 5th grade. Them and the other 8 never knew this about their own teacher! Why were they never told? It wasn't because I was ashamed or anything. It was because I didn't want to lose the realationship I already had with them.
To those students of mine I was a teacher and I wasn't ready to advance that title, not just yet. Although I did think, maybe if I had shown them one of my books, maybe they would better understand  how a book is formed.
Anyway, I hope that next year  Shiver and Fears can reach out to more students. In fact my plan is to have a book published by the school, for the school. But we'll have to see what this year holds for us!

First Post, New Decade

Happy New Year to the next decade of fans. Shiver and Fears has been growing lately, and I know it's because of the partners I have. That includes cousins, my illustrator, Randon, my voice narrator partner, Deontae my promotor, Tina, My support group on facebook, and my reliable friends.
Because of these people: books have been selling, more fans have favored AJ Hard, books and songs have been listed to places like iTunes, Walmart, libraries, Spotify, and still is growing over time.
In fact, Pier88 has AJ Hard labeled on their wall:

Not quite sure what's in store for Shiver and Fears this year, but one thing is for sure The work pays off. and maybe one day my work will reach something like 31K, but for now I'm just glad it's making progress.
You know they say I'm not famous because I'm not on tv, or because I'm not nationwide with fans, or even because I don't know a lot of celebrities. My thoughts are, that's not what makes you famous. What makes a person famous is being known out of your peers. When you write something, like a song or book, if it's good enough, people will let others know. And over time it'll grow. Everyone in the world may not know AJ Hard, or Asia Hardwick, but there are people who don't know Deon Mitchell or Kevin Hart or Ant Blades but they still have fans and thanks to you, I do too!

The winner of "What's Your Story?"

So if you haven't heard, hear it now. Shiver and Fears had started another contest! A title will be created by your first and last name and then naming a random street. The winning title is The Burning Ghost.
Now you might be thinking if maybe I predicted this book would win and already had an idea, you'd be wrong, I was voting for The Masked Baby or even The Burning Baby. Now don't give me that 'you evil monster!', because you can't really judge a book by its title. And there were some that if were chosen, would be difficult to put together like, "The Cold Eye" or "The Floating Channel" and truth be told I really didn't want to do another ghost story, but it is what it is.
So what is The Burning Ghost about? (Like you wouldn't guess.) Well, I don't want it to be about a ghost that's on fire, that's WAY too obvious! So check out what I have here:

Only the toughest of the tough can be entered The Night Club. It's located deep in a swamp on 21st Blvd. Ethan and his friends meet there every night to think of plans to scare the rest of the town. But things don't go as planned one night as they find their club burned down. Who could have done this? Ethan's annoying brother? A lightning strike? Or could it be the burning ghost?

This story will be placed in the winter to give the story more suspense. Now the kid starring in the story will be the only realistic thing about this story. The other characters, his location, and his personal (although not too much) will be different. My partner, Randon Timberlake, will be the illustration of this masterpiece. You ready for another Shiver and Fears story? Hear more about it in 2020!

Happy Birthday AJ

Every year the state fair happens on the week of my birthday, butas always happening a week after my birthday. And even though it's stillpecialtrip, it's not special enough going ON the day you were born. This year was different.

I took a few of my old friends, who brought friends of their own, togetherwe made this trip a party! Now what did we do there? Well one thing is for sure, we had to check out all these random foods. I mean they had fried gummy bears, who wouldn't want to try that?
We were checking out a few rides. We for sure had to go on the ferris wheel. I even got to see the Disney on Ice show., but being there I learned how they are able to keep everything in order, I mean 12.99 for a soda?! They are also selling cars and hottubs.

World-Wide Books

First of all I want to say, if you live in Oklahoma you know this weather is totally crazy. Rain, wind, and sunshine. Over... and over... and over again.
Now that we've settled that let's talk about books:
First of all, let me say that my next book is the Shiver and Fears series is called The Puppet Family. About a boy meeting two new friends and meanwhile getting involved in a kidnapping. Right now the book is on hold due to the book illustrator, Randon Timberlake. The cover should be ready in just a few more days. Once it's drawn, I'll be coloring it. So it should be ready by next week.
Next, I want to say The AJ Hard collection (Shiver and Fears) and (Magical Times) have been posted on book stores all around the world in audio and in paperback. So what's next on my agenda? It's time I pass around the word that Shiver and Fears deserve the attention from it's audience. This summer I'll be going to Missouri for the annual camp of KAA. There might be a few kids there who would love to meet an author.
Another thing is I'm thinking of is to do a live video of chatting with pedestrians at The Village Library about checking out Shiver and Fears. Kinda give it like a  "Secret celebrity" vibe. I also want to do a contest on Instagram, but I have a feeling it might fail, but never not try something just because you doubt it.

This funding will help promote The AJ Hard collection to as many readers as possible. Check it out. And don't be afraid to check out the many sites f Shiver and Fears

Up To 30%

Are you helping Shiver and Fears? AJ Hard is raising money here and only need $320 to finish the task. So far with the 30% we have bought 3 shirts, 7 books, water balloons. With that can't really get much of a party going. still need 17 books, a load of chicken wings, a case of water, a bounce house... well you know what? We are actually thinking of getting a dunk tank! We are going to see what we can do. But anyway, we are so close of getting our limit, so don't just quit helping.
I've told everyone that helping includes Donating, sharing, or just being a guest at the party. It doesn't matter if it's $1 or $100 what matters is that you've help suppose for a good cause and this is a good cause.
The Bookaversary party is celebrating the date that Shiver and Fears books were published. The books were published on the 20th, but the book signing party is hosted the Saturday before that day. You'll really enjoy it, I mean original parties mostly serve pizza or hotdogs. Our party hosts with chicken wings... at least this year.

Buisness is Multiplying

So I chatted with the libraries for 3 years and finally got my dream to come true! Well first let me explain my dream.
Well my main dream was to become famous, when Shiver and Fears first started that dream was made to come true. But even with books selling online it wasn't enough to really call famous.
As you know Shiver and Fears went from books, to kindles, to products, to audio books, but I knew making something isn't what makes you famous, it's how many people look at what you made and how it attracts them.
Well being online doesn't get that much attention, but you know what does? Book stores, libraries, and schools. Well I'm happy to announce Shiver and Fears has made it into schools, entered in book stores, and now after four years are now heading into libraries! Don't believe me, ask a metropolitan library for Shiver and Fears books. You'll be surprised.
Now it's time to spread the word. While I go to everyone I know and love you do the same. Go to the school librarian and ask for Shiver and Fears books, meanwhile I'll be asking if any more schools would like a donation from Shiver and Fears

Donation to Schools

Shiver and Fears book are making their way into elementary schools. Our first stop was Britton Elementary. They were glad to know an author, myself, was donating books to the school. Not only that, I was sure to autograph them as well.
Where did these books come from? Well great question, The Bookaversary party was left with 10 books leftover. I was planning to sell them, but giving them away was a way better plan. I mean we did give one to a book store, and the YMCA. So after that donation, I planned another.
Ridgeview Elementary was my school years ago, and if one elementary school accepted new books then I'm sure another would accept it too. Well my luck was true, not only were they accepting Shiver and Fears books, they were accepting my presents to introduce Shiver and Fears to the kids!
That gave me a brilliant idea: Let's donate Shiver and Fears to elementary schools! Maybe even make appearances at the schools. Right now it's just an idea, but if things go right Shiver and Fears can finally be where they're suppose to be... in the hands of children!
