Shiver and Fears New Book

 

    So Shiver and Fears JUST finished another book. This is the 2nd Terror Tales book written for 8 characters. The book was written to explore 3rd grade kids and their interest in writing. The new Terror Tales: Into the Legendary Store was created to give young readers a feature in the power of creative writing. 

    After making the choice of the 7 best story titles. I wrote the story best to fit the title. The hardest one, I think was The Masked Giant. This was a challenge because the title already reveals the plot. Not to mention there is not a very good plot twist that can lead into a giant wearing a mask. The reason why this book was chosen, was because of the challenge of coming up with a plot. This will show kids that no matter what a story is behind a title.

    Into the Legendary Store has been published but only as a preview edition. This gives our 3rd graders a view of the book before it's officially ready. The reason for this is that although the book is done, there is no cover illustrated for it. When will the cover be ready? Not even the Shiver and Fears artist: Cameron Dunk knowns. But what is important is that the book get done for future projects such as the book written by multiple other 3rd graders called What a Story!

This book will feature the creative minds of the rest of the 3rd graders who didn't get into the Shiver and Fears novel.

    So far The Whispering Box, The Little Neighbor, and The Whispering Monster are the only stories written for the next project What a Story! So although this book will feature a small amount of students tales, it'll also feature artwork based on the tales too. (Once again, made by 3rd grade kids)

When will these books be ready? And what kind of stories are we looking at? It's a surprise, even I don't know!

Exclusive Information on the Proud Family New Series

 I have been so excited about the Proud Family making their come-back. But one thing I have been searching for before others was a view of the the theme song. I tried mentioning it to Joyce Wrice, the singer for the theme song, but no luck. I searched the web for it, but still couldn't discover it.

Proud Family has been posting about toys, trailers and cast interviews. But one thing they seem to be keeping secret is the theme song. Must be trying to save that for February 23. Well, I might get in some trouble showing this to people, but it's something people should hear about! 

I filmed a drawing of Penny Proud that I drew with the new theme song playing. Now, I tried posting it on Youtube, but "copyrights" blocked it. But it's not fair to present clips of the show and intel on footage but hide the theme song, especially since people are all over the net talking about how they can't wait for the show.

Now, about my drawing. No, I didn't trace it. I used a drawing of Penny Proud to create a new Penny Proud drawing. If you can't tell, I gave Penny an earing. and a pair of wrapping heel shoes, with some purple lipstick. Truth be told, maybe she could do better without purple or the pigtails, but I didn't want to change Penny too much. Didn't want to take the chance!

Can't wait for The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Because to me, the best part is the theme song!

Valentine from Shiver and Fears

 So Shiver and Fears pass out two kinds of card every year: Christmas cards:

 which feature one of our scary posts including Boo our ghost friend, Creeps our ice monster pet, or one of our monsters of the year.

A little too fearsome for Christmas I know, but it's what we use best.

Another card we send out to people is for Valentine's Day:

 This year we are sending those to staff at an elementary school. Why? Because so many of those teacher have enjoyed our company. We have given away a load of audio books, enter students in contests, and are about to have a package sent to the school for the students to all go home with a Shiver and Fears book.

At this moment now though, Shiver and Fears is supporting Valentine's Day by joining in a party for young readers today!

Afterwards, Shiver and Fears author... me is going to spend the night on the Mrs. of Shiver and Fears. That's right, if you haven't already known. Although I am not married, there is a someday- future Mrs. Shiver and Fears in my life. Interesting news huh?

Who is this mysterious person? You may be wondering, well that's for me to know and for you to figure out!

The Results are In

 The new book of Shiver and Fears is starting. Meet Carter Fuller, Aria Wilson, Mya Ivory, Cristal Lopez, Angelique Boyd, Nhayla Garcia, Jacob Huerta, and Jalynn These kids are involved in the new book Terror Tales: Into the Legendary Store. 

  Before, it was call The Creepy Store, but I think the Legendary Store is better. I mean each story hosts a legend given to each kid. Now before, I was only going to write 7 short stories. But Jalynn had to be added. Her story "The Loud Giant" was too interesting to pass.

  So how can a story with 7 stories include an 8th person? Well, for one thing; I'm the author, so what I say goes. Secondly, Jalynn story will get a pause within the book. So now and then the book will run back to the story, giving more details on the whole book.

  What's interesting about this book is it is the first book where different stories will connect as one. Kind of like the movie Shorts but only it's in order and not jumbled up.

  Now, another Shiver and Fears book did something different once where the plot split between two people within the entire book. (not to confuse it with The Beast Within the Bed) But that's because of the plot twisted needed in the book.

  Shiver and Fears doesn't do stuff like that often. However, if you go through Magical Times books they split through different characters all the time. Just because so many things are happening between the characters and needs more focus at the time than others.

Back to Shiver and Fears new book. While I work on this book and clean it up afterward, because doing this is going to be a total mess, another book will be worked on called That's a Story! It's about short stories made by 3rd graders. How many 3rd graders will write a story? I guess will have to see. Are you ready for this creative plot?

Magical Times series

The Contest has Started

 The contest is off to a great start.  About 20 3rd grade student have found their book title and have handed their entries to me. After this week I will be announcing the top 7 stories for my new book. I've looked over a few and have come up with some very haunting plots for thes storie.

This edition of Terror Tale will host 6 or 7 kids who are friends an wander themselves into a mysterious shop that they've never seen before. As they explore the store, they each find a piece of old treasure connected to a strange legend. 

Each 3rd grader will star in their story I've written. The titles each include a legend as each one will be titled: The Legend of the - - based on their initials of thei

r name. I will write these 3rd graders into the story and have the story published to their school. Very exciting.

Now, it's sad to say not all these kids will be written in the new book I'm writing. But, this gives them a chance to write their own edition of the story . Although mine will be horror fiction, it'll be good to see what kind of story you can make about "The Old Alien" or "The Strange With" (Not saying those are contestants) but, by writing their own story based on their title, it gives the kids a chance to grow up knowing they've been in the spotlight.

What's Your Story, Shiver and Fears?

 During the year 2022 Shiver and Fears is working on a major project. I will give 3rd grade students the chance to become Shiver and Fears characters. As you probably remember "The Burning Ghost" was a winning title in a contest.

We're doing it again in 2022, just a little different. We are expecting a bundle of 3rd grade students to enter their title for the next Shiver and Fears book. Now this book will be different, because this book will be another Terror Tales book. So a collection of entries will be placed and published to the public. 

This contest will do more this time as well. Our goal is to encourage young creative minds to make an accomplishment. Well this will be Shiver and Fears first time making a book not self-published, but written by someone else; the students.

Those who created their title, but weren't included in Shiver and Fears Terror Tales book will be given a chance to write their own story. This story will be placed in a different book full of 3rd graders and their creative writings.

This contest will be at the works starting the first Monday in January.   This will be an interesting contest because of the unpredicable outcome of class schedules and student's will.

Will Shiver and Fears be able to make these books? And what's Plan B if it fails? Well, we have our ways...

Shiver and Fears Starts Over

 Hey to all you Shiver and Fears fans out there. If you've noticed, Facebook has rid Shiver and Fears from their site. 

Apparently I've been accused of breaking facebook rules and caused my page to be deleted. Note: no proof was presented for this to happen.

Anyway, Shiver and Fears has to start all over. Let's see how many fans Shiver and Fears really has. It's kind of like a test. Well, it has to be a test because we HAVE to start over! 

Let me get to the point. As of now very little know of this situation, we are doing our best to solve it. It'll take a few years, but I have faith that everything can be put back in order.
