The Secret Behind Shiver and Fears

So what has gotten Shiver and Fears whre it is now? For future authors and writers, let me tell you now working by yourself is not the best idea. But how can I say that? I work by myself. Well, let me explain. I've spent years trying to find solutions to promote my work, truth is, I'm still not doing it right. But it could work for you.
For those who already have a story written you have a choice of createspace.com or Lulu.com. Now I'm sure there are other self publishing sites, but those are the two that sent my books at tons of book sites. If you need a cover idea you can always go to Fiverr.com and pay no less that $5 for art. After awhile you might want to chat with a few libraries and book stores and ask them to add your book to their collection. (After hounding them a lot, I got it going)
Don't stop at paperback, publish in kindle, audio, and hardback too. You want to publish in all sorts of forms to intreg all sorts of readers.acx.com is perfect for finding an audio reader and getting it published to a few sites as well.
Question is what do you do after all that? Well now you need to promote. If you're on a budget like me then you'll go to facebook.com and twitter.com any other sites that will grab people's attention. When you do this, the first people you want eyes on your book is your friends and family. (They always want you to have their support, and you always want to take it) Then the struggle is getting other people to find and gain interest. You can use a few dollars and promote on facebook, post videos on youtube.com or show off your work on any site where you customize your own. For Example:

zazzle product
and there's more custom things you can make. So share those with friends and fans. But the most important thing you want to do is make business cards. Pass them out as often as possible. For me I make slow progress year after year. But I won't quit until I make it to the right level.
